Three cheers for completing your year-long journey of mindful writing meditation practice! Today is a good day to journal! Let yourself be spontaneous, honest, and focused on journaling in detail what you learned about yourself and your writing life this year. Write until your mind can’t think of anything else about the twelve-month adventure you just completed. Here are a few questions to get you started.
- How is your focus on daily tasks now compared to before you began this journey?
- How do you feel, artistically and spiritually? Do you feel more empowered?
- Do you find yourself going deeper into meditating, journaling, walking and reading than ever before?
- How has your writing skill and productivity benefitted?
- How has your sense of awe and wonder over nature and simple things in daily life changed?
- Have you started to travel or have you become more mindful during your regular travels?
- Do you spend time in solitude?
- What small daily goals do you complete each day?
- Has your life’s purpose gained clarity?
There are so many questions. If the year has passed by too fast, that is okay. You have cultivated a few good daily habits.
Each month you assembled elements of an integrated body, a thinking heart, and a feeling mind. You are less mindless and better at being mindful. This was the sowing stage where you worked at developing attention and awareness. You learned how to practice breathing and reduce the number of passing thoughts. Then poured those persisted thoughts and emotions on the pages of your journal. Has this become a habit now. Who can be a better companion than your own notebook, your personal therapist?
