Dr. Larry Rock ’n’ Roll!!! Schardt (pronounced Shard) is on a journey of discovering and sharing the power of living a life of happiness and Success That Rocks! Larry’s passion is people.
He is a popular storyteller and believes stories can change the world.
Through the power of story, in his uplifting and motivational “Success That Rocks!” presentations, Dr. Schardt illustrates that no matter how terrible your start, there is light at the end of your tunnel.
Larry believes that you have the ability to make your life rock . . . and as a result, rock the lives of those you come in contact with.
He has spoken to audiences across the United States encouraging, motivating, and inspiring executives, employees, students, and seniors to live life to the fullest.
For the past 28 years, Dr. Schardt had been inspiring his students at Penn State in his Natural Resources classes. Larry loves creating and putting together stories while walking through the woods.
He also helps writers as a regular presenter at writers conferences and co-coordinates the Mindful Writers Retreats.
Although he doesn’t consider himself a sports writer, his bestselling book, “James Conner: Legend of a Football Hero,” is rated as “One of the 24 Best Sports Biography Books of All Time,” according to BookAuthority (featured in CNN, Forbes, and Inc Magazines).
For nearly six years Larry has been writing a daily Facebook blog to entertain, celebrate, share, and pay forward the positive in life . . . Larry feels everyone should start their day on a positive note.
Along with his other writings, he has stories in “Chicken Soup for the Soul” books (Find Your Happiness, The Power of Gratitude, and The Best Advice I Ever Heard).
His stories have won awards in memoir, nonfiction, and inspirational categories.
He is currently working on “The Runaway Summer.” A book about running away from home at the age of 15 to escape violence, alcohol, and rage.
In his writing and everyday pursuits, Larry’s passion for people, positive spirit, and zest for life shines through.
Larry also loves the outdoors, walking, reading, skiing, and music that rocks . . . from Amadeus to ZZ Top.
From his peace sign to his smile to his familiar “Rock ‘n’ Roll!!!” Larry does his best to share joy and plant seeds of love and happiness everywhere he goes.
