    To dear Dr. Kapoor and all the visitors, in person and in spirit, at our Summer Solstice Soiree, thanks for your good wishes!

    We celebrated the “Summer Solstice Soiree” evening in Oakmont in a garden nestled between an antique store and a florist shop. We found ourselves surrounded with fully-blossomed pansies, petunias, lilies and geraniums, a flowing fountain, and under greenery of trees and shrubs. We talked to the visitors about our books–what we have written and what we plan to write as they savored cupcakes, cookies and drank fresh lemonade. Readers got their books signed and carried them home for the year’s summer reading!

    The event went so well that we are thinking of doing it again next year!
